  • Armin Kirchner
    Head of Corporate


    With extensive experience in the EMEA region, Armin began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 working as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche, based in The Netherlands.

    He joined TMF Group in 1994, and began a series of important managerial roles across Europe. Serving as MD of offices in Sofia, Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Warsaw, Armin has played a key role in TMF’s expansion in Europe. His experience includes leading start-ups and improving more established offices, in relatively short timeframes, as well as working in both mature and emerging markets.

    Armin became Regional Director for Central & Eastern Europe in 2006, and two years later was appointed to the role of Regional Director for EMEA.

    He took up his role as Head of Corporate Services on the day of merger in June 2011

  • Luigi Garlati
    Head of Americas


    Luigi started his own chartered accountancy firm in Milan in 1994, following time spent with Coopers & Lybrand and real estate developer and investment company London & Edinburgh Trust Plc.

    He entered into a joint venture with TMF Group in 2001 and in 2004 his firm became wholly-owned by TMF Group. Luigi remained with the business and, in 2008, was appointed TMF’s Regional Director of Western Europe.

    By 2010, Luigi was appointed as Regional Director of Latin America and, at the beginning of 2011, his responsibilities were increased to incorporate North America and the Caribbean.

  • Dan Kragt
    Head of EMEA


    Starting his working life in Spain in the investment industry, setting up private equity vehicles, Dan went on to launch his own successful business – International Corporate Management Expertise – in 1993, which was dedicated to assisting foreign investors.

    After selling his business to TMF Group, Dan stayed with the business, taking on responsibility for growing the Spanish presence, which now comprises offices in both Barcelona and Madrid, and developing the office in Portugal.

    In 2010, he was promoted to Regional Director of Western Europe, and he assumed his current position following the 2011 merger between TMF Group and Equity Trust.

  • Frank Welman
    Head of Benelux


    Frank has more than 20 years’ experience in the establishment and management of international corporate and private structures for both corporations and high-net-worth individuals.

    Prior to the merger between Equity Trust and TMF Group, Frank headed up Equity Trust’s Corporate Services’ global business line, and was Managing Director of Equity Trust Luxembourg, a post he held since July 2005. He also had final responsibility for sales and marketing at a global level.

    In his role as Head of Benelux for TMF Group, Frank retains the role of MD for Luxembourg.

    Prior to joining Equity Trust, Frank worked for BDO Tax Lawyers and subsequently for MeesPierson Intertrust in various senior positions and jurisdictions.

  • Robert Jan Schol
    Head of Emerging Business Lines


    A qualified lawyer and commercially-minded, Robert Jan has worked in the corporate arena for more than 20 years, focusing predominantly on real estate, structured finance, private equity and private client work.

    Robert Jan began his career in 1987, working for the international financial services group Citco, based in Amsterdam. By 1990, he had moved on to ABN AMRO Trust, where he stayed for 15 years – this period included spells in Hong Kong, Curaçao, Jersey and Luxembourg.

    In September 2005, Robert Jan joined TMF Group, assuming responsibility for Luxembourg, and in 2010 he took on the additional role of Regional Director for Benelux.

    He took up his role as Head of Emerging Business Lines on the day of merger in June 2011

  • Teresa Lamy
    Head of HR


    Teresa oversees all HR activity across TMF Group and is responsible for designing and implementing a Group HR strategy to meet the needs of the business.

    A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, with many years experience in HR at a strategic level, she was Head of Group HR at Equity Trust for more than four years, based in the company’s Jersey office, prior to the merger with TMF Group in 2011.

    Prior to joining Equity Trust, Teresa worked for companies including Jersey Post, RBC, Chase, ANZ and Barclays.

  • Iain Johns
    Head of Private Clients


    With an impressive professional background spanning 20 years, Iain assumed his current role following the merger between TMF Group and Equity Trust. Formerly he was Equity Trust’s Global Head of Private Clients and Managing Director of the Jersey office.

    Before joining Equity Trust, Iain was a Director of an international trust company and a Partner in its associated accounting practice where he provided international taxation and estate planning advice to high-net-worth individuals.

    Iain holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and an MBA. He is also a Certified Accountant (Australia), STEP-qualified and was named in the 2011 ‘Leaders List’ by influential industry media title Citywealth.

  • Joyce Winnubst

    Joyce Winnubst
    Head of Legal & Risk Management


    Joyce has over 12 years’ legal experience, having worked as lawyer for Allen & Overy’s Mergers & Acquisitions practices in Amsterdam and London, and as in-house lawyer for TNT in the Netherlands prior to joining TMF Group in 2006.

    During her career with TMF, Joyce has played a key role in numerous mergers and acquisitions, including our recent merger with Equity Trust. She has also driven the expansion of the Group Legal & Risk Management Department.

    Joyce is responsible for overseeing group legal issues, and also identifying, managing and mitigating risks. She also ensures that TMF Group complies with the highest standard of corporate governance.
