TMF Jersey has acquired the company secretarial practice in Jersey from the international law firm Walkers. From an office in Walker House on Hill Street in Jersey TMF will provide company secretarial and other regulated services through TMF Channel Islands Limited and accounting outsource and payroll services through a sister company TMF Jersey Limited. In time it is anticpated that the full range of TMF services will be offered from the Jersey office.
The Jersey office currently has 3 staff members including the managing director Brian Jackson who said: ' The Channel Islands represents a huge opportunity for TMF not only to add Jersey as an important jurisdiction for the provision of company secretarial services to our international clients, many of whom already have existing business there, but also to fill a gap in the local market for outsourced accounting and payroll services. Jersey is also a favoured jurisdiction for fund administration services and structured finance services with many SPV's incorporated and managed on the island. In conjunction with the existing TMF teams in London and Luton we expect to quickly establish a strong presence capable of supporting a large portfolio of business.
