Industry: Game development

Serbian game developer Nordeus called on TMF Group to support its global growth ambitions with a wide range of set-up and day-to-day business support services.

The challenge

As a Serbian game developer with big ambitions to put Belgrade on the global gaming map, Nordeus wants to ensure its games – including the highly successful ‘Top Eleven’ online football manager game – stay fresh and engage its ever-growing community of managers. This involves things like introducing new elements to the game, live events and topical features such as linking up with global football competitions, while also listening to players’ needs around the world.

While it is a very successful game developer, as a small start-up, Nordeus had very little knowledge of entering new global markets – especially when it came to local legal and tax requirements. The company needed assistance from professionals with deep expertise in setting up and doing business in new jurisdictions.

The solution

Nordeus turned to TMF Group to provide expert guidance across virtually all aspects of company formation, compliance with local legal and bureaucratic obligations, accounting, payroll and bank accounts.

TMF Group has helped Nordeus establish itself in new markets with a range of set-up services. These include incorporation and filing of documents with company registration offices, registration with local tax authorities, opening bank accounts with domestic and international banks, and setting up payroll, accounting and invoicing systems.

TMF Group also provides Nordeus with ongoing services in each jurisdiction, including: provision of registered office and named company secretary; board support; accounting and reporting (management accounts and annual statutory accounts preparation under IFRS); corporation tax, VAT filing and regulatory compliance; payroll; and cash management.

TMF Group is always there to answer all our questions with a really quick response time, thorough replies and direct assistance. This helps us focus on what we are really good at, and that’s making video games. I just cannot imagine the time and resources we would have spent if we decided to do everything ourselves.
