To make itself more attractive to investors, the Mexican government has made improvements to its infrastructure and fostered competition in sectors such as transportation, energy and telecommunications. By opening its borders, Mexico has become a global manufacturing base, with strong links to consumers. 

Monica Vera, Managing Director of TMF in Mexico City and a Syracuse University Graduate, will provide a country briefing on doing business in Mexico. Topics planned are:

  • Considerations for Mexico as a destination
  • Expansion journey – toe in water approach vs larger operations
  • Pitfalls to be aware of
  • USMCA implications (The new trade agreement)

Lunch will be served at 11:45am. Presentations will begin at noon. Following Q&A we’ll have local companies share their Mexico business experiences in a panel discussion. 

This program is open to Central New York International Business and is for companies of all sizes who wish to learn more about increasing their international business with Mexico. 

Cost is $35 for CNYIBA members, $45 for non CNYIBA members, includes lunch. Business casual attire is permitted (No jeans please).
