The jurisdictions – respectively ranked 11, 49 and 42 – have seen their complexity level decrease this year with Indonesia exiting the top ten most complex jurisdictions. The countries are becoming more aligned with international standards and practices making them less complex jurisdictions to do business in.

Speakers:

Achin Malik, Managing Director, TMF Thailand
Achin is a qualified finance professional with over 20 years of work experience as Head of Finance and Accounting & Assurance functions with global organisations and start-ups. Having joined TMF India in 2016, Achin moved to Thailand in early 2020 as the Managing Director of TMF Thailand. He is also the Practice Head for Global Entity Management (GEM) Services for Southeast Asia (India, Thailand, Indonesia, & Vietnam).
His key focus areas at TMF Thailand include growing business and market share, managing/ coaching/ expanding teams and operations, building and managing strong client relationships at CXO levels with heading global companies and ensuring optimum levels of delivery for all ongoing engagements.
As the Practice Head for SEA Market, Achin is responsible for contributing to the TMF’s growth and client satisfaction by developing and heading the GEM practice at market level.
Achin strongly believes that the clients and employees are the two most important pillars for any successful organisation and works relentlessly to create solutions and give them the experience they desire.

Alvin Christian, Managing Director, TMF Indonesia
Alvin is the Managing Director TMF Indonesia and the A&T Practice Head of Southeast Asia. He also serves as the Board Treasurer of Eurocham (The European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia), as well as the Board Secretary General of CFO Club (The Indonesian CFO Association).
Alvin has a combined overseas (North America) and local experience of 20+ years, and has previously worked for multinational organizations such as Thomson Reuters, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Manulife USA, Veolia North America, and G4S (Group 4 Securicor).
He has a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics from Boston University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Northeastern University. He is a Certified Accountant, Liquidator, Audit Committee, Valuation, and Taxation professional.

Edwin Wouters, Head of Business Development Southeast Asia, TMF Group
With over 25 years of experience in end-to-end Business Development & Consulting program delivery roles, working with some of the leading global Consulting firms & international Software firms, Edwin has built up an all-round consulting expertise, ranging from IT- Technology & Technology Advisory Services, to Operations Improvement/ Business Process Re-engineering, including providing advisory and implementation services around Insourced/ Outsourced business models.
Edwin has spent a large part of his professional career in various South-East Asian countries. Currently located in Jakarta, Indonesia, he joined TMF in 2013 and has since then taken up various business development leadership roles across South East Asia.

Vo Ngoc Thuy An, Managing Director, TMF Vietnam
With nearly 20 years of experience in multinational corporations and an immense range of industries in Vietnam, An joined TMF Vietnam in 2017 and is now leading two offices in Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi with more than 150 professional employees.
An is a Vietnamese CPA and a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in UK. She specializes in providing market entry advice, financial due diligence and on-going compliance services for foreign invested businesses in the Vietnam market, including accounting, tax compliance, payroll and corporate secretarial services. Prior to joining TMF Vietnam, An has been with one of the Big 4s for 11 years as a senior manager, focusing on external audit and advisory projects for clients in various business sectors.
