Cengiz Somay – Managing Director

Cengiz Jersey MDCengiz is the Managing Director of TMF Jersey and oversees the day-to-day management and leadership of the Jersey business.

Cengiz has enjoyed a very successful career in financial services and has held senior leadership roles in EMEA and Asia in a number of leading international companies, including Mourant-Ozannes, State Street and Standard Bank.

Most recently Cengiz was group CEO of First Names Group, successfully servicing a global client base that included multinationals, institutional investors, fund managers, entrepreneurs, families and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Paul Cosgrove - Chief Operating Officer

Paul CosgrovePaul is responsible for the delivery of various back office functions which provide support and service for the client facing business. Paul joined TMF in 2007 and has held various roles within the Jersey Office before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2012. Prior to joining TMF Group, Paul worked in the commercial and retail sector for a multinational company in a group role. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and also holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Charlotte Eastwood - Director of Risk and Compliance
Charlotte EastwoodCharlotte is responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the risk management strategy and compliance functions to ensure the Jersey business meets its regulatory requirements. She has over 20 years previous experience in similar roles and has significant property experience. She is a UK qualified solicitor and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). Charlotte is fluent in French. 

 

Fiona Hurley - Director of Client Services

Fiona HurleyFiona is responsible for client service delivery and service quality within the Jersey office.  She ensures that the client service teams operate efficiently, conform to regulatory requirements and meet TMF Group standards.  Prior to joining TMF Group, Fiona worked in a number of senior roles in Jersey, providing a wide range of services to clients including trust, corporate, real estate, structured finance, employee benefits and alternative investment funds. She has also spent time in a compliance role dealing with the application of legal and regulatory requirements across a number of offshore and onshore jurisdictions.  Fiona has a degree in mathematics and is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Society of Trust Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Michaela Harrison-Gray - Director
Michaela Harrison-GrayMichaela is an Associate Director specialising in the establishment, operation and implementation of structures designed to facilitate investment into real estate by private, corporate and institutional investors. Michaela joined TMF from Sanne Group and has over 20 years’ experience in the offshore financial services industry and, in particular, the management of a wide variety of offshore real estate structures including limited partnerships, corporate structures, private unit trusts and alternative investment funds. Michaela is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and member of the Society of Trust Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Paul Le Gros - Associate Director & Head of Client Accounting
Paul Le GrosPaul is responsible for the development and delivery of high quality client accounting services. He is available to clients for consultation on all accounting and reporting matters. He has over 25 years’ experience in the offshore trust industry, predominantly in accounting roles, but also has a wealth of experience in trust and company management and administration for private, corporate and institutional clients. Paul is a member of the Society of Trust Estate Practitioners (STEP).

David Postlethwaite – Associate Director
David PostlethwaiteDavid is an Associate Director specialising in Jersey corporate structures holding a wide variety of asset classes including structured finance, real estate and private equity. His global portfolio of clients includes large institutions, sovereign wealth funds and corporates.

David joined TMF from Mourant Ozannes in Jersey where he was a lawyer specialising in finance and corporate law, with a focus on the financing of large UK real estate transactions through offshore structures. Prior to moving to Jersey, David worked as a debt capital markets lawyer in Paris and London with leading global law firm Hogan Lovells.

David graduated in 2006 with a first class LLB in English law and French law from the University of Kent. He also holds a licence in French law from the University of Bordeaux. He qualified as an English solicitor in 2009 (currently non-practising). In 2010 he passed the Paris bar exams and was admitted as a French avocat from 2010 to 2015.

Peter Johnson – Head of Technical
Peter Johnson Peter is Head of Technical and is responsible for a team of 12 staff administering an internationally diverse portfolio of client structures across a variety of single and multiple asset classes. Peter is also responsible for the oversight of the technical management strategy to ensure the Jersey business and client entities meets their regulatory requirements.

Peter specialises in private client and UK real estate structuring which includes working with families with interests in fiscal and succession planning and working with corporate institutions with interests in UK real estate. Peter has over 10 years’ experience in similar roles with experience in UK tax and regulatory reporting requirements. Peter went to the University of Cambridge and is a qualified accountant.
