TMF Group has been unveiled as the new sponsor of the annual Island Walk in Jersey.
The annual around island walk will be in its 29th year in 2019 and remains one of Jersey’s great sporting challenges. Since its inception in 1991, walkers have raised over £2,300,000 for over 80 deserving local charities and community causes.
Cengiz Somay, Managing Director, Channel Islands at TMF Group, said: “We are pleased and indeed privileged to be chosen as the new sponsor of the physically challenging Island Walk for the next three years. We are very excited to be involved in this Island-wide event that supports so many deserving local charities and causes.”
This year, the Island Walk will take place on Saturday 22 June with all 3 events starting from Elizabeth Ferry Terminal at 3:00am: The Main Walk (48.1 miles), the Lieutenant Governor’s Challenge (10.9 miles) and the Relay.
There are 9 local charities and several other causes being supported by sponsorship raised by walkers and from donations.
