Singapore is an international business hub, which boasts political stability, a sound economy and a corruption-free government. From a base in this tiny island nation, you can not only do business with the rest of Southeast Asia, but with the world at large too.
Singapore is well positioned as a launch pad for multinationals looking to take advantage of the growth potential in ASEAN. Its business-friendly hub has the capacity to bridge cultural differences between the West and East, plus a comprehensive suite of business services.
The city-state tops the World Bank's 2016 Ease of Doing Business index. As well as ranking at number one overall, Singapore is also number one in the categories of protecting minority investors, dealing with construction permits and enforcing contracts.
Singapore is signatory to many international trade and taxation agreements, including 74 Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs), 41 Investment Guarantee Agreements (IGAs) and 21 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) or Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).
