TMF Group appoints new Senior Leads in the Channel Islands

Tim Houghton has been appointed overall Market Head for the Channel Islands and James Dolton has been appointed as Managing Director for the Guernsey business. 

Mr Houghton joined the company in March 2019, as part of the Private Clients team, and became Global Head of Private Wealth & Family Office in December 2019, developing the go-to-market strategy for the practice. He is a Chartered Member of the CISI, an Affiliate Member of STEP, and he holds both the ICSA diploma in offshore finance and administration and the CMI executive diploma in management. 

Prior to joining TMF Group, Tim worked for a global bank, holding multiple senior positions including Head of Business Development for the bank’s international business and Head of Private Client Wealth Management. 

Mr Dolton joined the business in July 2019 as a Client Director, where he was responsible for leading a team of both accountants and administrators, as well as establishing the new business process for the TMF Guernsey funds practice. 

Prior to joining TMF Group, James spent six years as an operations manager working for Aberdeen Standard Investments (now abrdn). 

Earlier in his career, James worked for Citigroup in Edinburgh and HSBC, Rothschild & Co and Ernst & Young in Guernsey. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

TMF Group now boasts a strong funds team across both islands, as well as private wealth, family office, corporate services and employee benefits in Jersey. The team is almost 300 strong and is looking to grow in 2022. “We are well placed to help clients with their global needs and goals.
